Let's start with some introductions, shall we? Well, what can I say about myself... *southern accent* I like talking in a southern accent sometimes... Sorry, lol I am totally butchering this. I don't know how to blog; this is all new to me. What do you even write in a blog?

Let's start from the beginning. So, I started photography my senior year of high school; my mom wanted some new pictures of me for my graduation party invitations. So, I got all dolled up and my mom went around and took pictures of me in our backyard. I uploaded the pictures to my computer and started playing around with them in an editing software that I had on my computer. I just started messing around with them a little bit and realized that they were actually pretty good; they actually kind of looked like professional photos and I thought "Wow, this is pretty fun! Maybe I could do this for the rest of my life!" (Looking back at them now, I see how absolutely horrible looking they were, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?)

I was already enrolled in a two-year college for graphic design but decided to change my major after this to photography. I am so glad that I did! I've always had a love for art but when I discovered photography, I loved it even more! I attended college for two years at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, living on campus. Alot of people told me I shouldn't go to college for something in the arts field but I'm glad I did because I never would've gotten the on hand experience and training that I did. If you're truly passionate about something and you know that's what you want to do for the rest of your life, then I encourage you to go for it and not let anyone tell you that you can't. If the passion is there, then the business will come.

So, that's how I discovered my love for senior photography and I've incorporated my love for fashion in with my style. I love shopping; I love doing hair and make up; I'm just a girly girl and I love jewelry and shoes (what girl doesn't). So yeah, basically I just decided to rebrand everything and that's how I came up with Rebecca Sheets Photography | Fashion Inspired Photographer. I am so excited for what the year 2016 will bring and so excited for all the new amazing people that I will be able to meet and photograph.
