Capturing candid moments is a large part of what I do when photographing a wedding. From getting ready with loved ones, first looks, and catching a tear in the groom's eye as his beautiful bride walks down the isle towards him; It is so important to capture these unplanned once-in-a-lifetime moments throughout the day, because they go by so fast.
If I had to think of my most favorite candid wedding moment that I've captured, a specific one comes to mind. I was with the bride in the morning while she was getting ready at her parents house. As her mother and maid of honor were helping her put her dress on, they discovered something had been sewn into the inside of her dress. It appeared to be a note embroidered onto a blue patch of fabric. The note said "Know that I will never leave your side". The groom had previously had this sewn into the inside of her dress! When the bride read it, she burst into tears. This was a such special and priceless moment and I was so glad that I was there to capture it!
I look forward to all the future candid wedding moments that I get to be apart of. I love that each wedding is unique and has their own special story to be told. This is probably my favorite part of wedding photography and sometimes I even find myself tearing up behind my camera lens!
